Letter: SummerFest: It takes a village!

To the Editor:

The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce gratefully acknowledges all who helped make SummerFest the type of community event which sets Ridgefield apart as one of the best places to live as well as a unique destination for visitors.

Special thanks go to the over 80 exhibitors and sponsors who created a vibrant festival atmosphere in Downtown Ridgefield and to the many merchants in the Central Business District and all over Ridgefield who participated with their own sales and special events.

We are very appreciative of the following groups who helped make SummerFest happen so seamlessly: the Town of Ridgefield, Ridgefield Police Department, Ridgefield Fire Department, Ridgefield Parks and Recreation, Abbey Tent & Party Rentals, and volunteers from the Chamber’s Board of Directors: Pamela Banks, Alexandra Carrow, Deborah Durkee, Ron Herman, Jill Maguire, Meredith Mulhearn, Vincent Perry, and Abe Spierer.

A special thank you to The Ridgefield Press for promoting the event, as well Pamby Service Department for displaying the SummerFest banner.

Thank you to our title sponsors: Fairfield County Bank, Mercedes Benz of Danbury, and Winters Brothers Waste Systems and to our supporting sponsors: BMW of Ridgefield, CorCystems, Downtown Ridgefield Merchants Association, Ridgefield Overhead Doors, and Winter Garden Ice Arena.
